Michael Mjaaseth with another DP World Tour start!
We are proud to share that Michael Mjaaseth will play his second DP World Tour event this week! After making his debut in Denmark two weeks ago, he now tees it up at the prestigious Omega Masters in Crans-sur-Sierre, Switzerland.
Michael showed in Denmark that he belongs – he was right in the mix early on – and now he gets another chance to build on that experience. I have great confidence in Michael. I know the level of his game, and even though it takes some adjustment to new surroundings and a slightly different setting at this level, golf is still golf. That’s why I am convinced he will compete at this level sooner rather than later.
Getting these opportunities already is invaluable and provides the perfect transition into his upcoming professional career. He still has one year left at Arizona State University, with an exciting program ahead.
I have followed Michael since 2016/2017, and he has taken every step so far. The more experienced players on our team have also contributed to his development – seeing what Viktor Hovland has achieved, and what Kristoffer Reitan has delivered the past year, certainly raises the standard and mindset for everyone in Team NextUp.
We are grateful that Uno-X sponsors both us in NextUp and the DP World Tour, and that the Tour works together with us to give our players these opportunities.
We are a group of Norwegian golfers working hard, pushing each other, and constantly raising the bar. Now we look forward to following Michael in Switzerland!
